A South African man shared his emotional breakdown on social media, narrating how a Nigerian guy took his girlfriend and now the Nigerian Super Eagles have taken away his joy after defeating Bafana Bafana in the semi-finals.
Expressing sadness over the Super Eagles’ victory, the man revealed that he was rooting for his country to win against Nigeria because a Nigerian guy had taken his girlfriend. Despite his hopes that South Africa played well against the Super Eagles, the match did not turn out in his favor, leaving him feeling disheartened.
He lamented that he has nothing left, even mentioning that the music genre ‘Amapiano’ now belongs to Nigeria. The man’s story reflects a mix of personal and sports-related heartbreak.
“I really wanted to win it because a Nigerian guy took my girl and now he has taken my joy as well. I have nothing left. Amapiano belongs to Nigeria. All the girls belong to Nigeria now,” he said.
