Oluwademilade Odumuboni, a Nigerian schoolboy, has achieved victory in a competition, outshining 782,000 fellow students and securing a multimillion naira prize.

According to reports, he took home the first prize in the global 2022–2023 Toyota Dream Vehicle Art Contest.

The 10-year-old Nigerian schoolboy at Corona School in Gbagada, Lagos, competed and defeated 782,852 other contestants from 90 countries to win the prestigious award in the 2022/2023 session.

The world’s judges selected Odumuboni’s waste converter solution as the finest one because it will aid nations, particularly African people, in producing food and preserving the environment.

The $5,000 cash prize, a plaque, and a certificate were given to the victor at a special event that Toyota Nigeria Limited planned. 10,000 USD was also given to his school.

The nine national winners who made the shortlist are sent to Japan with their winning drawings to compete against other winning drawings from around the world.

According to a report from Dailytrust, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), Japan, hosts the contest every year for students all over the world, asking them to sketch their ideal automobiles using any random notion.
